Membership in the Society is open to persons 18 years of age or older bearing the names of Balneaves, Dinsmore, Dunsmore, Fleming, Moray, Murray, Murrie, Murry, Neaves, Piper, Pyper, Smail, Smale, Small, Smeal and Spaulding, and other persons willing to actively uphold the principles identified in the purposes section of the membership application.
To join the Society, complete the Membership Application. Applicants for Regular membership must also complete the Genealogy section. Please detail your relationship to the Murray Clan by indicating your family lineage. You need only detail as far as the relationship to the Murray or allied family name.
Note that there is no longer a separate genealogy form.
The three classes of membership are:
1. Regular. Any person qualifying and applying for Regular membership and currently paying annual dues, as established by the Council of the Society. Regular Society members shall be eligible to vote, hold elected office or appointed position, and may serve in any appointed position.
2. Associate. Any person not qualifying for Regular membership, but who is willing to actively uphold the principles of the preamble of this Constitution, shall be eligible for associate membership in the Clan Murray Society. Each such associate member shall be eligible to vote and to serve in any appointed position, but may not hold an elected office.
3. Emeritus. Any Regular member who is at least 75 years of age and been an active member of the Society for a minimum of 10 years may petition the Council for Emeritus status. Emeritus members are exempt from the requirement to pay annual dues, but retain all rights and privileges of Regular membership.
The initial membership application fee is $30 (US$ or Canadian equivalent). Annual dues are $25 (US$ or Canadian equivalent). Annual Dues must be paid on or before January 1st of each year.

The periodical Aitionn is part of your membership benefits. In order to ensure delivery we must have accurate address information.
